Adam and I talk often about having the type of platform where we can say the things that need to be said, and to be bold in the face of injustice. For me, as a Black woman writer, that means having an independent platform where I can not only share about my work but I can also write about the things that are critically important to raising antiracist kids and get that info to parents/caregivers.
